Unfortunately Overwolf have shared more bad news with us.
Live Game Events
They expect live game events to come back in roughly 2 days.
Apparently there are some issues getting this to work with the new overlay issues described below.
In-Game Overlay
The Overwolf overlay is causing game crashes for some users. Overwolf have temporarily disabled the overlay whilst a solution is being worked on.
They are telling us there is 2 different solutions:
Solution 1 is currently being reviewed by Ubisoft to see if it’ll cause game crashes. We hope they’ll approve this solution soon. This should keep the overlay working exactly as it does usually.
Solution 2 is disabling the overlay for fullscreen display mode, as a temporary measure. They may enable this option, as it’s unknown how long solution 1 will take.
We know this news sucks, and we’re sorry our app keeps getting caught in the crossfire of all these issues between Overwolf and Ubisoft.”
