I’m having the same issue, I literally just subbed to premium and I still see ads.

Could you please clarify what subscription method you used? Have you tried to restore your subscription in the app settings?
Same issue. I just subscribed through App Store and it hasn’t changed the ads or anything.
Edit: I was finally able to “restore purchase” and now it works.
