I understand why they had to have these rules applied. Just look at last week, there was no clarification if full runs is required, no skipping mechanics is allowed, and all of those short times made it where they needed Bungie to jump in with some clarification.
In a way this made it seems like those who wants to do it but don’t know how to do the movement tricks won’t feel like they are at a disadvantage when competing. Now the whole eager edge for swords that kind of pushing it but I do understand some of the reason behind that.
Looking forward to compete this coming speed run.
Hopefully this week the website will take my time of competing because it didn’t allow me to update at all last week
Is Well or shatter skating allowed or just Titan skating, icarus dash skating, regular sword skating etc?
Just not 100% clear on if those would be considered “legal” movement tech
i can`t push the button “join the challange” It is not activated. How do I activate it?
are we allowed to mountaintop up to harpy from the final floor of tower. it is in bounds. it is simply a faster way to get to harpy than the normal route.
Hey, can you confirm you’re entering the second week challenge and not just the first?
The first run option is now disabled; the second option is active.
Thank you
Hi,
That’s allowed, following feedback we have removed those restrictions.
same im not sure why
Can you confirm you’re using the second entry button and not the button for the first run?
Specifically the Spire of the Watch Speed run
Thank you
Sorry if this info is available somewhere, I could not find it. Is the emblem reward only for the top speedruns? Or any participant that submits a proper run into the TRN website?
all participants who sign up will receive the Nine-Crowned emblem
thanks, i`ve done. maybe time lag was the cause i think.
is there no solo leaderboard?
Hi,
There is no specific “solo leaderboard” that’s viewable right now, but we are storing times from all runs, whether that be Trios, Duos, or Solos.
This would be an interesting addition to any future events, but it isn’t something we currently have that’s public-facing.
Apologies
I have 3 questions about this:
1st: Is the Witherhoard/Nade-Lineup in Opening allowed?
2nd: Are we allowed to switch to blink in Elevators and to increase our skate distance?
3rd: Are we allowed to activate nodes that are behind a wall or something with a blinding grenade launcher or mountaintop through the explosion damage?
@Lewie would like to provide my feedback. was looking forward to running this weekend when the rules basically made this a glitch less category speedrun. no skating no clipping outside just a good old fashion who can do it the fastest. wish you guys would have kept the old rule set instead of giving in to the people saying its not a true speedrun. or just complaing in general. I understand you can’t make everyone happy but its not gonna be " casual " friendly if you change it for the 1 percenters
would be pretty nice to know tbh. ur rules dont clarify this problem, and i am not the only one with these questions.
also it would be cool if u could answer the question if the bounce from 3rd platform in 1st encounter to harpy is allowed since the 1st team is using it and to my understanding that is not “the intended way”
we have runs with and without it since the rules are a bit unclear.
Hey @weeman99
Unfortunately, the volume of feedback around the original rulings was overwhelmingly negative. We always try to listen to feedback, and in this case, we’ve seen an incredible uptick in positive remarks.
We’ve learnt a lot from this event and will be more prepared for the next one.
Thank you
Which rules do you find unclear? Feedback would be appreciated.
Thank you
