How to make your account Private/Public

How To Make Your Stats Public

In order for us to access your stats, you need to make your account stats public via the in-game menu:

  1. Open up your Fortnite settings in-game.

  2. Navigate to the “Account and Privacy” tab.

  3. Scroll down to “Gameplay Privacy”

  4. Turn on "Public Game Stats”.

Note: If your age on your Epic Games account is below 13 years of age, we cannot retrieve your stats. You will need to change your age on your Epic account.

How To Make Your Stats Private

Follow the steps above, but switch “Public Game Stats” to OFF.

Note: It is not possible to make your Fortnite Tournament information private.

Note: Changes are not made instantly and may take some time to reflect fully on our site; if you still experience issues after playing a few Battle Royale Matches, please let us know.

FN is an available to the public - free to play game. There is no reason that player names or stats should be able to be hidden by “anonymous” or “Profile is private”. Sure, no “personal information” should be readily available, but if you want to play, your player info should be as “public” and free as playing the game itself.

Players are given the choice by Epic to have either a private or a public account.

I don’t see an issue with that.
