Every time I try to connect my Riot account to TRN is says “An unknown error occurred while authenticating.”. Then looking at Riot it says it’s connected but TRN doesn’t recognize my account and add it to the linked accounts “ToastedWater#WSG”. I’ve disconnected my account, tried from incognito, and done a few other things to try and solve this but still doesn’t work.
Hey @T0astedWater1, can you follow these steps for me?
-
Open an incognito Window
-
Sign in to your TrackerNetwork account - Sign In or Register - Tracker Network
-
Open Riots official sign-in page and sign into the correct account, do not use ANY auto sign-in features, manually enter your credentials: https://authenticate.riotgames.com/
-
Once you are correctly signed into the RioT account you wish to be linked to your TrackerNetwork ID, head back to our Valorant Website and head to your profile page directly ToastedWater#WSG’s Valorant Stats - Valorant Tracker
This is a partly private profile, so proceeding further will make your account public
- Check the “I acknowledge signing in makes my profile public to all users” tab and click the sign in with RioT ID button
This will claim your account, make it public, and you’re good to go.
Thank you
Hello Lewie, I attempted this method and ended up with the same result as I tried to login, continuing to try and connect my account as I try to login, it says " Tracker Network is requesting the following permissions: View Account ID, Offline Access" and I click authorize, it goes back to the main screen and won’t even try to connect/authorize again as I try to connect it through my account it also says “An unkown error occurred while authenticating”. I also deleted and re-installed to attempt again. Any other ideas?
any update on this? im having the same issue
Hello,
Please follow the same instructions as above. I strongly suggest using an incognito internet session if you’re struggling; using any form of “auto sign-in” feature may cause the issue
This does NOT work
Hello,
I’ve just tried this; it works fine on my end.
