We launched our Valorant overlay app a few months ago, right after the game was officially released.
Since then, a lot has changed. We originally used the Overwolf Real-Time API, then we received access to the official Valorant API.
The Valorant API is giving us the possibility to offer much more data, and we received a lot of feedback about inconsistencies between the data in the app and the data on our site.
This is why you are required to Sign In with your Riot ID to the app to sync all the data, and this is the safest way, provided by Riot.
