Crashing in Rainbow Six Siege

Hi, ever since y9s3, my game has been crashing every 3rd game on very important rounds like 3-0, 4-4, etc. I have tried many fixes online like reinstalling, repairing corrupt files, updating drivers, but nothing seems to work, not even the y9s3.1 patch. This does not happen with any other game so i suspect it might be r6 tracker having software conflicts with the game. Has anyone else had this problem, and if so can anyone provide some insight confirming this?

Hi, are you using Discord’s in-game overlay?

Ubisoft have warned against using Discord’s overlay as it was causing game crashes.

Before lauching your game, I’d try closing Overwolf from your system tray like so:

Play several games and see if you can reproduce the issue. It’s possible you have another piece of software on your PC that is causing the problem, or is conflicting with our app/Overwolf.

If the crashes continue, you can at least rule our app/Overwolf out as a cause.

Hi, i disabled the tracker and it worked. I played 5 quickmatches in a row with no crashes. (i got banned for 2 days bc of the crashes)

Hmm, this is strange, as no other users are reporting this, and we have a pretty large userbase.

Unless we get more reports, I’m led to think another program on your pc is clashing with our app/Overwolf and causing the crash.

Ive had this exact same problem. My games been crashing (constantly on midgame) when i have r6s tracker app on, but when i close it my game never crashes it sucks because i use the app to record kills. I have a medium high end pc (Ryzen 7 5800x3d paired with 3060 12GB OC)

Please could you make sure your graphics drivers are updated and restart your PC? If the issue continues, please attach your app logs.

Same problem happening with me, and 4 of my friends.

I installed my R6 on another laptop. (New boot) and ran Overwolf there too.

Game crashed when I opened R6 Tracker and Siege similtaneously.

ADDITIONALLY, please can you send me your “RainbowSix.exe” file in this exact location? (It might just say “RainbowSix” if you hide file extension names)

If you press Windows Key + R and enter:

%localappdata%\Ubisoft\r6siege, you’ll see the right file.
